Kalamansi Books is a Filipino-owned, family-owned tiny traveling pop-up bookstore. We offer a collection of fresh, new, curated children’s books, picture books, graphic novels, chapter books, middle grade books, non-fiction books, cookbooks, illustrated books and travel books. We pop up at festivals and events in Orange County, LA County and all over California.
Kalamansi Books also provides pre-sale orders and day-of sales for author visits at schools. In addition, we offer book fairs with a thoughtful, hand-picked selection of newly published titles and backlist favorites for all ages, with an eye towards engaging stories and beautiful illustrations and diverse books that inspire and instill wonder, bring beauty into the world and foster empathy in readers. Our books support language and cognitive development, which lay a solid foundation for optimal learning in class and in the world at large. We love helping schools build reading cultures, through sharing the latest literacy research with staff and families, and connecting students with books that they’ll love so that they become lifelong readers.
Kalamansi Books aims to connect people with books for every stage — new readers, families with established home libraries, as well as teachers looking to fortify their classroom libraries. At our bookstore, people are excited to find titles that they never knew existed. That feeling of delight and discovery are part of the magic of shopping at a local bookstore.
